My goals as a yoga teacher
I have learned that hatha yoga is much
more than exercise. Yoga helps us mentally to empty our minds and pay closer attention to what is going on in our lives.
As you practice yoga you find that you learn a great deal about yourself and who you are. You find a feeling
of relaxation and peace that you'll want to bring into your everyday life on and off the mat.
As a Laughter
Yoga leader, my goal is to get my students comfortable with the idea that laughter can be a physical exercise.
Whether you fake laughter or laugh for real, your body doesn't know the difference. I will educate my students
on all the wonderful healing benefits of laughter and hope that some will be guided to become laughter leaders themselves.
As a teacher, my goal is to instruct a class that is easy for the beginner and yet challenging enough for
the advanced practitioner. Students can modify their yoga practice to their own needs or limitations. A student
should feel good leaving a yoga class and have the desire to come back for more. As the student gains more practice,
he or she will learn about some the deeper meaning that hatha or laughter yoga has to offer.
